Enjoy the Loire Valley
A unique house
This family house dates from the 16th century and is one of the last half-timbered houses in Blois. It is located in the oldest street in the city south of the Loire. In the Middle Ages this street was an extension of the medieval bridge, the old foundations of which can still be seen when the level of the Loire is low. At the time, the area hosted many inns and was inhabited by fishermen and boatmen and it has preserved many typical architectural elements.
We have completely renovated the house as a family to meet modern comfort standards without stripping it of its specific features, and we reinvest the fruits of the rental activity in new renovations to continue to improve the house, year after year. Our goal is to offer you the ideal place to spend a pleasant stay in Blois, in the heart of Val-de-Loire.
A perfect location
Immerse yourself completely in the atmosphere of the Loire Valley. The neighborhood is peaceful and ideally located in the city center, in an area protected by Historic Monuments, between a 15th century church and the Jacques Gabriel bridge, built in the 18th century. You will have access to all the shops on foot, and you will just have to cross the bridge to visit the Château de Blois and the Maison de la Magie.
You can also enjoy all the attractions of the Loire, the last wild river in France. The “Loire à Vélo” cycle path is at the end of the street, and you will only have a few minutes to walk to reach the port of La Creusille. This river port is home to the traditional boats of the Loire Observatory, which offers tours on the river and even beaver observations.
The south side of the Loire also offers you the most beautiful view of Blois, with an exceptional panorama of all the city’s major monuments.
Enjoy french culture and gastronomy
Located in the middle of the Loire Valley, Blois is the ideal place to discover the heritage of the French Renaissance.
Throughout the visits, you walk in the footsteps of the greatest historical figures, such as Joan of Arc, François I, Henri III and the Duke of Guise. The magnificent Château Royal de Blois is a 15-minute walk from the house.
Blois is also a city known for its gastronomy. It is home to a multitude of restaurants typical of French gastronomy, from the most affordable to Michelin-starred restaurants.
